Sananga
Sananga Treatment
Shamanic Healing with Sananga
Ceremony Information
The Sananga healing ceremony takes less than an hour, but it is best you schedule some time for rest and reflection after the treatment.
Sananga can be nicely combined with a Kambo ceremony or a Rapé ceremony, and traditionally has been for generations.
If you are interested in all three, check out The Awakening Warrior, for the full warrior experience.
Individual and Group ceremonies are available, in and around Stockholm, Sweden.
Support and Integration
You will be guided and supported throughout the ceremony. A safe space will be created and you will never feel alone or unattended.
Integration is important. A phone call is recommended and included after the ceremony to further discuss your experience and help integrate your learnings and realizations into everyday life.
What is Sananga?
Sananga is a traditional medicine made from the roots and bark of Tabernaemontana undulata, an Amazionian shrub found in Brazil and other South American countries. It is ground into a fine powder and extracted into a juice, then administered as eye drops.
Sananga not only cleanses your eyes, but your mind and spirit as well.
Traditionally, Sananga is known to remove “bad eyesight” and establish “good eyesight.” The concept of vision can be understood not just as a physical ability, but also in a broader, more spiritual sense, as indigenous perspectives suggest. A negative outlook on the world, focusing on the negative, can be seen as a form of "bad eyesight." Sananga can alleviate this negative perspective, enabling one to approach life with a fresh perspective.
Sananga’s powerful spiritual benefits increase insight, remove unwanted energy, and open one's Third Eye. It can be used to treat mental disorders such as addiction, depression, and anxiety.
Physically, it is used to treat and prevent ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, farsightedness, nearsightedness, and even blindness. In Amazon tribes such as Kaxinawás, Matsés, and Yawanawá, it is commonly used to sharpen night vision while hunting.
Sananga contains a natural mix of alkaloids (such as ibogaine, coronaridine, quebrachidine, heyneanine, 3-hydroxycoronaridine, ibogamine and voacangine), which have powerful psychoactive effects and can exert strong antibiotic effects.
The burning sensation that is felt after administration triggers the release of endorphins, a chemical produced by the body to reduce pain. These endorphins remain in the body long after the effects of Sananga have gone, leading to a lasting feeling of deep relaxation.
